MP35N - UNS R30035 Sheet

MP35N® is extremely suitable in environments where a high combination of strength, high modulus values and good corrosion resistance are required.

MP35N UNS R30035 Sheet is a non-magnetic Nickel-Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy. This unique combination of properties enables ultra high strength, toughness, good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance. MP35N Sheet also has exceptional resistance to sulfidation, high temperature oxidation and hydrogen embrittlement. MP35N Sheet is used in a wide variety of applications from fasteners, springs, nonmagnetic electrical components, instrument parts in medical, seawater, oil and gas well, and chemical and food processing environments.

Due to these properties, one of the main applications of this grade is as componentes and parts for marine environments like, for instance, cables which conduct sensors for measurements in deep ocean. MP35N  Sheet also is used in the automotive and aerospace industries. But, originally, this grade was developed for cirurgical implants. The strength hardening mechanism envolved is complex, involving a solution annealing heat treatment, followed by cold working and finally by an aging (precipitation hardening) heat treatment.
