HASTELLOY C276 Pipe Fittings is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, chlorine dioxide and hypochlorite solutions. These HASTELLOY C276 Butt Weld Pipe Fittings has outstanding resistance to strapping solutions of oxidizing salts, such as cupric and ferric chlorides. Alloy C276 Pipe Fittings is not prone to grain boundary precipitation in the as welded form and so appropriate for a lot of chemical method applications. Our Alloy C276 Butt Weld Pipe Fittings are being used for several applications such as in Digesters and bleach plants in the paper industry, Equipment for flue-gas desulfurisation plants, Components exposed to sour gas, Sulfuric acid reactors, Equipment for processes utilizing halide or acid catalysts, Organic chloride process equipment, Evaporators, heat exchangers, filters and mixers used in sulfuric acid environments.
These are used for several applications such as in chemical process equipment and desulfurization of flue gas equipment. It also has good machinability, although the alloy work hardens as is true of the nickel base alloys in general. These are accessible to our valuable customers in different range of diameters, wall thicknesses and sizes at quite affordable rates.
Hastelloy Alloy® C276 is an age-hardenable nickel-cobalt chromium-molybdenum alloy designed specifically to combine good age strength properties with excellent fabrication characteristics in the annealed condition. The high molybdenum content provides resistance to localized corrosion. Low carbon minimizes carbide precipitation during welding. Alloy C276 exhibits excellent intermediate temperature tensile ductility, and is not normally subject to strain age cracking problems common for other gamma prime strengthened alloys. Alloy C276 is typically used for applications up to about 1650°F (900°C).

Hastelloy C276 can be machined using conventional machining methods which are used for iron-based alloys. Machining operations are performed using commercial coolants. High-speed operations such as grinding, milling or turning, are performed using water-base coolants. Hastelloy C276 is welded using gas-tungsten arc welding, shielded metal-arc welding, gas metal-arc welding, and submerged-arc welding methods.
